These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website https://sumodir.com (the "Site") operated by SumoDir ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Site immediately.

1. Description of Service

SumoDir is a business and application directory. Users can browse listed products and submit their own products for listing ("Submission"). We offer free and paid listing plans.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. User Accounts

To submit a listing, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to keep it up to date.

4. Submissions and Content

To list a product on SumoDir, you must create an account and complete the submission form. The submission process works as follows:

a) Submission Process

• You provide your product details: name, website URL, description, introduction, images, and optional social media links (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
• You select up to 3 categories and 3 tags for your listing.
• All submissions are checked against our content policy (see Section 5) both automatically and manually.
• Free plan submissions are placed in a review queue and published within approximately 14 days after manual review.
• Paid plan submissions (Basic, Pro) are approved and published instantly upon successful payment.

b) Email Address

During submission, you provide an email address that serves as the primary contact for your listing (e.g., status updates, review notifications, listing issues). If you opt in during submission, we may also use this email address to send occasional product updates and promotional communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us via our contact page.

c) Content Ownership and License

• You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your submission on the Site and related marketing channels.
• You represent that your submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights and does not contain unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading content.
• We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any submission at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms or our content policies.

5. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that promotes or relates to: cryptocurrency, blockchain, or web3 projects; adult content or pornography; gambling or casinos; illegal drugs or controlled substances; weapons or explosives; scams, MLM, or pyramid schemes; or any other illegal services or activities. Submissions violating this policy will be rejected or removed without refund. We reserve the right to update this list at any time.

6. Pricing Plans

We offer the following listing plans. All listing plans provide a lifetime listing (one-time payment, no recurring fees):

• Free ($0) — Manual review and listing within approximately 14 days. Includes 1 dofollow backlink and up to 1,500 characters for your product introduction. A backlink to SumoDir from your website is required.
• Premium Listing ($15, one-time) — Instant approval and publishing (skip the review queue). Includes 3 high DA dofollow backlinks, an AI-generated SEO-optimized description, and up to 2,500 characters for your introduction. No backlink to SumoDir required.
• Review Article ($49, one-time) — An AI-generated in-depth review article (1,500–2,500 words) about your product or service, published as a blog post on our site. Includes SEO-optimized title, meta description, structured pros & cons, and dofollow links to your website. The article is generated by our AI, which analyzes your product and writes a credible, search-engine-friendly review designed to help you rank for “your brand + review” queries.

7. Sponsored Ad Spots

We offer a limited number of sponsored ad slots (maximum 3 at any given time) that are displayed site-wide to all visitors. Each ad spot is a one-time purchase of $30 and runs for 30 days from the date of activation.

a) What You Get

• Your brand logo and title displayed prominently across the site.
• A short description (up to 160 characters) of your product or service.
• A direct click-through link to your website.
• Ads are displayed randomly on every page of the Site for the duration of the 30-day period.

b) Allowed Content

Ad spots are available to legitimate businesses, products, and services, including but not limited to: SaaS tools, software products, agencies, consulting services, e-commerce stores, B2B services, professional services, and local businesses.

c) Prohibited Ad Content

The same content restrictions that apply to listings (Section 5) also apply to ads. Additionally, the following are not permitted in ads: misleading or deceptive claims, fake reviews or endorsements, link farms or SEO spam services, content that impersonates another brand, or any product or service that violates applicable law. Ads found in violation will be removed immediately without refund.

d) Expiration and Renewal

After the 30-day period ends, the ad slot expires automatically and becomes available for new purchases. There are no automatic renewals or recurring charges. If you wish to continue advertising, you may purchase a new ad slot when one is available.

8. Payments and Refunds

• All payments are processed by Polar, our third-party payment provider. We do not store or have access to your payment card details.
• Paid listing plans (Premium Listing, Review Article) deliver immediate value: your listing is published instantly, dofollow backlinks are created, and/or AI-generated content is produced upon payment.
• Sponsored ad spots are activated immediately after you complete the ad setup form following payment.
• Due to the digital and immediate nature of all our services (listings, review articles, and ads), we maintain a strict no-refund policy once the service has been delivered. This includes: published listings, generated review articles, and activated ad spots.
• Ad spots are non-refundable once activated, regardless of whether the full 30-day period is used.
• In accordance with EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), by purchasing any paid service you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once the digital content has been delivered.
• If your listing or ad is rejected or removed for violating our content policy (Section 5 or Section 7c), no refund will be issued.
• If you experience a technical issue that prevents delivery of the service, please reach out via our contact page and we will work to resolve it.

9. AI-Powered Features

SumoDir uses artificial intelligence to enhance the submission experience, content quality, and review article creation:

• AI Autofill: When submitting a listing, you may use the optional "AI Autofill" feature. This feature analyzes your website URL and automatically suggests a product name, description, introduction, categories, tags, and social media links. All AI-generated suggestions can be reviewed and edited by you before submission. AI Autofill is rate-limited to 5 requests per hour.
• AI-Generated Descriptions (Premium Listing): The Premium Listing plan includes an AI-written, SEO-optimized product description generated based on the information you provide and publicly available information about your product.
• AI-Generated Review Articles (Review Article plan): The Review Article plan uses AI to generate an in-depth review of your product or service (1,500–2,500 words). The AI analyzes your website, product information, and publicly available data to create a comprehensive article that includes: an SEO-optimized title and meta description, structured pros and cons, multiple sections covering features, use cases, and a final assessment, and dofollow links to your website. The article is published as a blog post on SumoDir and is designed to help your brand rank for review queries in search engines and AI-powered search tools.
• Content Moderation: AI is used to screen submissions for prohibited content (see Section 5). Submissions flagged by AI may be automatically rejected.

AI-generated content is provided as-is. While we strive for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that AI-generated content is error-free or factually complete. The AI produces content based on available information at the time of generation. You are responsible for reviewing all content associated with your listing or review article. If you find inaccuracies, please contact us via our contact page and we will make reasonable corrections.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site design, source code, logos, graphics, and other materials (the "Content") are our proprietary property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our Content without prior written permission.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which describe how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these policies.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Site. You may delete your account at any time via our contact page.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Poland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
